ഓര്ക്കുട്ടിന് പിന്നാലെ ഇന്റര്നെറ്റിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സൗഹൃദക്കൂട്ടായ്മയായ ഫെയ്സ്ബുക്കിലും വൈറസ് പടരുന്നതായി റിപ്പോര്ട്ട്.
ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് ഉപയോക്താക്കള് ഇതിനകം തന്നെ വൈറസ് ആക്രമണത്തിന് ഇരയായിക്കഴിഞ്ഞുവെന്നും റിപ്പോര്ട്ടില് പറയുന്നു. ഫേസ് ബുക്ക് പേജ് നിര്ബ്ബന്ധമായും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടാന് പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന രീതിയിലാണ് വൈറസ് പരക്കുന്നത്. വാള് വഴിയാണത്രേ ഇത് വ്യാപിക്കുന്നത്.

പ്രതിവര്ഷം 30,000 കോടി വരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മൊബൈല് വിപണിയില് ആഗോള ഹാന്ഡ്സെറ്റ് ഭീമനായ Nokiaക്കു ചുവടുപിഴക്കുന്നു. വിപണി റിസര്ച്ച് കമ്പനിയായ IDCയുടെ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് പ്രകാരം Nokiaയുടെ ആധിപത്യം കുറഞ്ഞു വരികയാണ്.ചൈന കഴിഞ്ഞാല് നോക്കിയയുടെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വിപണിയായി വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയില് നോക്കിയക്കുള്ള സ്വാധീനം ക്രമാതീതമായി കുറഞ്ഞെന്നാണു IDC വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്.

Customer care calls may not be free

From now onwards Customer care calls may not be free. Telecom Industry is planning to charge all customer care calls.Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Cellular Operators Association of India and the Association of Unified Service Providers of India will discuss the issue.At present, all calls made to the customer care are free. The Industry says, significant majority of calls that mobile users make to Customer care are for enquiry purposes, and not related to grievances.

Government of India is planning to restrict foreign investment limit of Mobile Television Services to 74 Percent. And they can only transmit authorized channels to mobile phones. Last week TRAI proposed these amendments. And they can only transmit those news channels, which has permitted by the Ministry of telecommunication.Government is planning to approve these amendments on a fast track basis. Other suggestions are, service should be Digital, should be based on norms issued by International Telecommunication Union and Telecom Engineering Centre of India

This Mob OS will be published under Eclipse Public License.In 2008 Nokia acquired symbian and established the independent non-profit symbian foundation. Newdelhi: The Department of Telecom had issued a "Stop Notice" to STel last Friday. STel is Joint Venture of Bahrin Telecom and Siva Group from Tamil Nadu.Stel is directed to stop its all its mobile services in the circles of Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Orissa.Telecom had issued the notice in the basis of Security concerns.

Mobile companies says no to 11 digit scheme

All mobile phone service providers, except Reliance and Tata have asked trai to continue the existing 10 digit system and opposed the new 11 digit scheme.Telecos have pointed out that since fixed line services are in continuous decline mode, it would be not be appropriate to change the numbers of customers.Most operators have taken the stance that currently many levels2 , 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7were reserved for fixed line services and these levels are highly under utilised.

BSNL has launched an SMS booking facility for new landline/ broadband connections.SMS has to be sent to 54141 from BSNL mobile numbers and to 9400054141 from non-BSNL numbers in the following format:1. LL for landline2. BB + Telephone number for broadband3. Others for other services.A representative from BSNL will contact the customers, collect all necessary documents and provide the connection with in days.
